Should We Use ChatGPT as Developers?

It would be a good thing if you use chatgpt and other ai’s for learning like personally when chatgpt generates me the code i tell him to explain me what is in that code block line-by-line and then instead of copy paste it i write it manually cause writing things manually while understanding what you write will be the most effective way to memorize and learn.

We must consider the next gen (also part of the current gen) of developers are going to be AI native. Of course AI is more powerful, but we had IntelliSense and autocompletion, we had all sort of extensions doing stuff for us (eslint for example, but also auto-importers and things like that). The fact is that learning is very different from applying, and learning is a volitive act that cannot be replaced by any tool. If one wants to learn, AI can help immensely. If one does not want to learn, they won’t study things even without AI.

Well I think that AI can’t replace the human. At least now AND I hope it will never happen. AI isn’t safe enough and if you use it you should check everything. So the opinion is that it’s okay as a helper, but you never know what can happen

I find chatGPT very useful also for generating templates from mockups created with software like Adobe XD. Often the UI does not match perfectly, but having a code base - which would be boring to write alone - helps to optimize times

I believe the future is moving towards an AI-driven landscape. Therefore, future developers will embody a combination of AI and human intelligence. This synergy will lead to the creation of new technologies never seen before. Utilizing GPT is probably a very good starting point.
