A toggle button should always print the current state. For example, when enabling the wifi on Android or iPhones, the toggle is on the right and green when the wifi is enabled.
So I agree with most responses of this StackOverflow post, that take as an example a power strip. The light is on and the 1 is pushed when the power is enabled. Turning it off means light turns off and pushing the 0.
Same for a button group indicating a state. The highlighted button is the current state.
