Astro introduces Server Islands, a new island architecture primitive that allows developers to deliver static, CDN-cached HTML page shells with injected dynamic content. It combines the benefits of performance and personalization. By using server islands, developers can achieve an instant, static page shell of HTML cached in a global CDN, while still having dynamic content injected anywhere on the page.
