Microsoft announces Agent Framework as the successor to Semantic Kernel and AutoGen for building AI agents. Semantic Kernel will continue to receive support for critical bugs and security issues for at least one year after Agent Framework reaches general availability, but new features will focus on Agent Framework. Developers with existing Semantic Kernel projects can continue using it, while new projects should consider Agent Framework if they can wait for general availability. Migration guides are available for both .NET and Python.
