The 2026 Security Slam has concluded, with an awards ceremony held at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2026. The event recognized open source projects and contributors who completed security objectives across five badge categories: Cleaner, Chronicler, Inspector, Mechanizer, and Defender. Top finishers earning all five badges include Privateer, CloudNativePG, and Meshery. Four-badge achievers include Kyverno and Metal3. Security Champions and Advocates were awarded to key contributors. The event was organized in collaboration with CNCF TAG Security and Compliance, with Sonatype as a partner. A remote Security Slam is planned for fall 2026 ahead of KubeCon North America.
