A prayer-timing Android app called BadeSaba Calendar, with over 5 million downloads, was apparently hacked to send surrender-themed push notifications to Iranians during Israeli strikes. The messages arrived in rapid succession over 30 minutes. Security expert Bruce Schneier speculates this was likely a state-sponsored operation by the US or Israel, given the speed and coordination of the attack.
