Veeps, a streaming service, successfully scaled to handle hundreds of thousands of concurrent viewers by adopting Elixir and Phoenix. The backend was rewritten in Elixir, which significantly improved scalability and reduced operational costs. The system used distributed Erlang and a service-oriented architecture within a monorepo. Elixir's ecosystem provided solutions for technical challenges, and LiveView simplified the interaction between front-end and back-end developers.
