Savvy Games Group and NEOM have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing a streamlined pathway for Saudi game studios to advance from incubation to acceleration. This partnership connects Savvy’s Nine66 Incubator Program with NEOM’s Level Up Accelerator, aiming to enhance coordination and support for emerging game studios within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing gaming ecosystem.
Both Savvy Games Group and NEOM are supported by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). This move aligns with the PIF’s strategic efforts in the gaming sector, which include investments in global entities like Nintendo, Take-Two, and an imminent acquisition of Electronic Arts valued at $55 billion.
This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, particularly the National Gaming and Esports Strategy, which seeks to diversify the national economy and foster a robust local game development environment. Through this coordinated effort, the new Memorandum of Understanding aims to create a dynamic pipeline for video game startups, facilitating their growth and integration into the broader gaming market.
