Netflix has added support for HDR10 Plus, a high dynamic range (HDR) format preferred by Samsung, allowing for better picture quality. This support is available through Netflix's Premium plan and uses dynamic metadata to optimize tone and brightness levels. HDR10 Plus support on Netflix was made possible through the AV1 video codec, which is supported by most TVs made in recent years. Netflix plans to expand its HDR10 Plus content library by the end of 2025.
