Amazon SageMaker Training Plans now supports extending existing GPU capacity reservations without reconfiguring workloads. Extensions can be added in 1-day increments up to 14 days, or 7-day increments up to 182 days (26 weeks), and can be initiated via API or the SageMaker console. Once purchased, workloads continue running uninterrupted, eliminating manual intervention when AI training jobs take longer than expected.
