Redox OS, the Rust-written operating system, published its April 2026 status report highlighting improvements for running on real hardware. <p>How did they manage to do a memory leak? It’s Rust-based, so theoretically there shouldn’t be any. My guess is either FFI with non-Rust code or using unsafe - either way, some low-level stuff. When something that’s not supposed to happen happens, that’s the moment to read up on it. 😉</p>
