Rust Coreutils 0.7 Released With Many Performance Optimizations

Rust Coreutils 0.7 has been released as a performance-focused update to the Rust-based alternative to GNU Coreutils. Key improvements include faster hash maps, new ASCII fast paths, and reduced malloc allocations across dozens of utilities. The release also addresses unsafe Rust code with safer abstractions and includes build fixes for NetBSD and PowerPC. On the compatibility front, the GNU Test Suite pass rate slightly dropped from 96.2% to 94.5%, partly due to 19 new tests introduced with GNU Coreutils 9.10.
