Cursor has made self-hosted cloud agents generally available, allowing enterprises to run AI coding agents entirely within their own infrastructure. Each agent runs in an isolated virtual machine with a terminal, browser, and full desktop, cloning repos, writing and testing code, and pushing changes autonomously. Self-hosted agents connect outbound via HTTPS to Cursor's cloud with no inbound ports or VPN required, keeping code, secrets, and build artifacts inside the company's network. For large-scale deployments, a Helm chart and Kubernetes operator are provided to manage worker pools, scaling, and lifecycle. Teams retain their existing security model while Cursor handles orchestration, model access, and UX.
