RubyMine 2026.1 ships with several notable improvements. AI chat now supports additional agents including Codex, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot via the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), plus native database querying through natural language. A new experimental symbol-based code insight engine delivers major performance gains: constant completion is ~50% faster, exception type-matched completion is ~95% faster, and Find Usages improves by ~60% in large projects. Remote development via SSH, Dev Containers, and WSL 2 graduates from Beta to Stable. Rails support gains better render local variable recognition, deprecated association detection, and virtual PostgreSQL column support. Ruby 4.0 endless methods with access modifiers are now fully supported. Other improvements include a diff viewer for failed RSpec/minitest tests, redesigned RuboCop/linting configuration, automatic Ruby interpreter detection, and a notice that Code With Me will be unbundled starting this release.
