Roblox is launching two new age-based account tiers in June: Roblox Kids for ages 5–8 and Roblox Select for ages 9–15. These accounts unify age-checks, content ratings, moderation, and parental controls into a single framework. New parental tools include granular game blocking through age 15, chat management controls, and the ability to approve specific games outside a child's default access. Content for users under 16 will undergo additional continuous evaluation including developer verification and extended content rating. The announcement comes amid ongoing legal pressure from Los Angeles County and the Australian government over child safety concerns on the platform.
