Nuxt 4 alpha will be released on June 2, 2025, with a stable release by the end of the month. The framework introduces a new directory structure with code in the app/ folder, improved data fetching with better caching, consistent component names, and enhanced head management. Nuxt 5 will follow later with Nitro v3 integration. The team plans a two-stage migration approach to make upgrades smoother, with Nuxt 3 receiving support until end of 2025 and Nuxt 4 supported until mid-2026.
