RJ Scaringe has raised $12 billion across three startups, and investors are still queueing up

RJ Scaringe, founder and CEO of Rivian, has raised over $12.3 billion across three companies: Rivian (electric vehicles), Also (electric micromobility), and Mind Robotics (industrial AI robotics). Mind Robotics just closed a $400M round led by Kleiner Perkins, reaching $1B total funding at a $3.4B valuation — all within roughly a year of being spun out of Rivian as 'Project Synapse.' Also has raised $300M+ including a $200M Series C, with DoorDash as a commercial partner for last-mile delivery. Rivian itself has attracted over $11B, including a $5.8B software JV with Volkswagen and a $1.25B robotaxi deal with Uber.
