Global ride-hailing company inDrive has acquired Pakistani quick-commerce startup KraveMart in an all-stock deal, following an initial investment in December 2024 and a partnership launched in January 2026. KraveMart operates dark stores in Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, delivering groceries in roughly 30 minutes. The acquisition supports inDrive's super-app ambitions, which include expanding beyond ride-hailing into grocery delivery and commerce services across emerging markets. The deal received approval from Pakistan's Competition Commission. Challenges remain, as the Pakistani grocery delivery market is dominated by Foodpanda, backed by Delivery Hero, and quick-commerce typically demands heavy capital investment before reaching profitability. inDrive has over 400 million downloads globally and is the most downloaded ride-hailing app in nine countries including Pakistan.
