Sony is shutting down Studio Bluepoint, the Austin-based developer known for high-quality remakes such as Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Colossus, as well as co-development work on God of War Ragnarok. Approximately 70 employees face layoffs following a business review. The studio had been working on a live-service God of War title that was cancelled in January 2025.
