Remedy Entertainment has confirmed it will release no further major content updates for FBC: Firebreak, its cooperative multiplayer shooter and first self-published title. The final update, 'Open House,' adds Endless Shift arenas and a Friend's Pass feature. The game launched in June 2025, reached 1 million players in 10 days, but suffered high early drop-off rates and poor commercial sales, with revenue largely driven by Xbox and PlayStation subscription deals. Remedy has issued a permanent price drop ($19.99 base) and will keep servers running. The underperformance led to a profit warning, the departure of CEO Tero Virtala, and the appointment of former EA executive Jean-Charles Gaudechon as the new permanent CEO.
