<h1>Remedy and Annapurna Partner to Develop Control 2 and Expand Multimedia Franchises</h1>
<p>Remedy Entertainment has entered a strategic partnership with Annapurna Interactive to co-fund and publish Control 2, while also working to expand the Control and Alan Wake series into film and television. This collaboration signifies Remedy’s shift towards self-publishing certain titles and broadening their reach into new storytelling mediums.</p>
<p>Under this agreement, Annapurna Interactive will finance 50% of Control 2’s development budget. Initially set to be published by 505 Games, Control 2 will now be self-published by Remedy, allowing the studio to maintain greater control over the game’s production and quality. Remedy, which has previously acquired full rights to Control from 505 Games, will retain complete IP rights for both Control and Alan Wake.</p>
<p>In addition to game development, the partnership will see Annapurna securing licensing rights for television, film, and selected audiovisual mediums, aiming to bring the unique narratives of Control and Alan Wake to a global audience. Remedy has a longstanding history of integrating film and TV elements into their games, making this move a natural evolution for the company.</p>
<p>The collaboration allows Remedy to stay focused on creating high-quality games while Annapurna enhances the storytelling experience through various multimedia platforms. This strategic alliance aims to explore new ways of telling stories and expanding the reach of these beloved franchises.</p>
