Safari Technology Preview 238 brings several new features and bug fixes to WebKit. Key additions include threaded time-based animation resolution for improved performance, support for the CSS :open pseudo-class, customizable <select> elements via appearance: base-select, scroll anchoring to prevent viewport jumps, ReadableStream.from() and postMessage() transfer support, and WebAssembly JavaScript Promise Integration (JSPI). Security fixes address an IDN homograph phishing vulnerability. Multiple SVG, WebRTC, rendering, and Web Inspector issues are also resolved.
