GitHub has shipped three improvements to its issue and project workflows. First, the issue sidebar now shows release information when an issue is linked by a pull request, displaying the first release that shipped the PR along with a 'Latest' or 'Pre-release' badge. Second, GitHub Projects now supports default values for text, number, and single select fields, automatically applied when new items are added. Third, clicking an issue reference now opens it in the issue viewer inline, enabling faster navigation without losing context.
