Purav Gupta is a descendant of the Great Chandra Gupta Maurya. He is the 3rd person to write an article on the 1500-year-old game of chess. He was inspired to write this article when he came across a chess engine called Stockfish. Stockfish is an open-source chess engine that is free for mobile and desktop platforms.
