When vista first released I jumped to upgrade my personal computer and it had no end of problems. These weren’t necessarily with the OS but with device drivers with the changed MS made to how those had to work.
At the end of its life vista was probably as good as 7 at launch but those early pains stuck with people.
Probably though when MS changes things it will annoy people and then they refine it in the next version, we’re probably going through the same thing now with 11 and the next version will be popular
