Red Hat announced a series of expansions to its OpenShift platform at Red Hat Summit. Key additions include a preview of Red Hat Advanced Developer Suite with a Trusted Software Factory offering an internal CI/CD pipeline, SBOMs, cryptographic signatures, and an NVIDIA AI-powered vulnerability analysis tool. Red Hat Desktop is now available for local development with Podman support and AI agent sandboxing. OpenShift Dev Spaces gains support for AWS's Kiro AI coding tool. Karpenter autoscaler support is being added for better cluster utilization, and OpenShift Virtualization is now available on Google and IBM clouds. Red Hat also disclosed over $2 billion in annual recurring OpenShift revenue and a 417% year-over-year growth in VMs running on the platform.
