Red Hat and Google Cloud Align on Unified Platform Strategy

Red Hat has deepened its partnership with Google Cloud, integrating OpenShift directly into the Google Cloud console and making OpenShift Virtualization generally available on dedicated Google Cloud infrastructure. The collaboration lets enterprises run traditional virtual machines alongside containers and serverless workloads on a single Kubernetes-based platform. Key additions include streamlined provisioning workflows, unified billing through Google Cloud Marketplace, and native integrations with Google Cloud services like Certificate Authority Service and Workload Identity Federation. The goal is to give enterprises a unified operational model for mixed workloads spanning on-premises, cloud, and edge environments, while easing migration from legacy VM-based infrastructure to cloud-native architectures.
