Reasonix is an open-source, terminal-first AI coding agent built specifically around DeepSeek's API and prefix-cache mechanics. Its append-only loop maintains 90%+ cache hit rates, reducing input-token costs to roughly 1/5 of standard pricing. Key features include MCP (Model Context Protocol) support via stdio, SSE, and Streamable HTTP transports, a sandboxed tool environment, a plan-mode read-only audit gate, Markdown-based skill scripts, and full session replay/stats. It targets DeepSeek exclusively because its loop invariants are engineered against DeepSeek's specific cache behavior. A native Tauri desktop client is also available. MIT-licensed with a public roadmap.
