The new architecture introduces two components — SousChef and Gatekeeper — to horizontally scale the system beyond the single Durable Object bottleneck of V1. Concurrency limits jumped from 4,500 to 50,000 simultaneous instances, creation rate increased from 100 to 300 instances/second, and queued instances capacity doubled to 2 million.
