Version 3.23 of reader, a Python feed reader library, has been released. The main new feature is OPML import/export support, implemented via a custom ~100-line reader.opml module to minimize dependencies. The release also provides an update on the upcoming hosted version of reader, which will offer multi-user support, email authentication, and pyinfra-based infrastructure deployments. The hosted service is not yet launched but an MVP is in progress, with remaining work including feed caching, a public demo, and a tutorial mode.
