ReactOS has merged two significant improvements: a unified BootCD that combines the traditional text-mode installer and LiveCD into a single all-in-one image, and a new plug-and-play aware ATA storage driver supporting SATA, PATA, ATAPI, and AHCI devices. The unified media also paves the way for a future GUI installer. Additionally, ReactOS 0.4.16 has been branched with release candidates coming soon, while nightly builds for 0.4.17 have begun.
