The article does go in depth into React itself. However, I don’t agree that you should use React over vanilla JS in all situations because JS should only add functionality to your webapp, not adding more HTML as shown in one of the earlier examples.
React is really good for creating web interfaces and single page applications with reusable components. But, I don’t think React should be a replacement for vanilla JS in all use cases.
