Raspberry Pi released the RP2350 A4 stepping update that fixes bugs from the 2024 hacking challenge, resolves GPIO pull-up issues, and adds 5V-tolerant GPIO support. The update includes hardened AES decryption code resistant to side-channel attacks and supports self-decrypting binaries. The 5V GPIO tolerance eliminates the need for voltage translators when interfacing with retro hardware and TTL logic. A new hacking challenge has been launched to test the improved security measures, though the team is confident it won't require another chip revision.
