Raspberry Pi 5: Faster, Better, Stronger — Spendier

The Raspberry Pi 5 is a major upgrade over its predecessor, offering double the performance, quadruple the base RAM, and more capable I/O. It features a new silicon designed in-house and will be available in two configurations with 4GB and 8GB of RAM. The Raspberry Pi Foundation aims to sell the RPi5s to individuals for the first couple of months. A new official operating system, Raspberry Pi OS, will also be launched. The first units are expected to ship by the end of October.
