Researchers have demonstrated a promising rare-earth-free magnetic material using high entropy alloys (HEAs). The study focused on boride films, finding that a specific (FeCoNiMn)₂B variant with particular deposition ordering exhibited strong magnetic anisotropy and a clear easy axis—key properties for effective magnets.
