V-Color has launched 1+1 DDR5 memory kits that bundle one real RAM module with one cosmetic dummy module, targeting AMD platform builders who want the visual appearance of a dual-channel setup without the cost. The kits start at DDR5-6400 and come in 16GB (Manta Sky) and 24GB (Manta XFinity) configurations. While the filler module adds no performance benefit, V-Color notes AMD Ryzen X3D chips partially offset single-channel performance penalties due to their large L3 cache. Pricing and availability have not been announced, with distribution through select partners like Newegg. Future 2+2 configurations are also planned.
