With the announcement of Epic Games Unreal Engine Marketplace replacement Fab, perhaps the biggest announcement are the changes to it's Quixel Megascans.  It will effectively be going away, merged into Fab... but more importantly it will be 100% FREE until the end of 2024 and assets you "buy" will be yours to keep forever!  This is important too, as the pricing are going to change for the worse for Unreal Engine developers!

Quixel Megascans will be free for everyone until the end of 2024 when accessed through the new Epic Games marketplace, Fab. This includes textures, 3D objects, and more, available for all game engines, not just Unreal Engine. From 2025, Quixel Megascans will no longer be free, so users are encouraged to acquire assets before the deadline to retain perpetual usage rights.
