Qt for Android Automotive 6.11 has been released, built on Qt 6.11. Key updates include the Service module (Rendering as a Service and Surface Streaming) graduating from Technical Preview to production-ready status. A new simplified communication mechanism lets native Android clients read and write QML root object properties from Java without Qt dependencies. The Interface Framework gains a Control Panel for simulating Android Vehicle Properties. On the graphics side, 6.11 introduces SSGI (Screen Space Global Illumination), Screen Space Reflections (SSR), per-object motion vectors, improved particle-based weather effects (rain and snow), volumetric lights with IES profiles, and advanced render-pass customization APIs accessible from QML.
