NetEase Games has reportedly laid off multiple QA staff at its Montréal studio, based on LinkedIn posts from affected employees including QA project managers and senior QA specialists. The layoffs follow several studio closures by NetEase in late 2025, including T-Minus Zero Entertainment, Bad Brain Game Studios, and Fantastic Pixel Castle. Nearly 1,000 people have already lost jobs in the gaming industry in 2026.
