The Python Software Foundation (PSF) Board is developing a five-year strategic plan and is sharing high-level goals for community feedback. The plan addresses two areas: organizational goals (financial sustainability, resilient governance, diversity and inclusion, transparency, community empowerment, and partnerships) and program goals (securing Python's software supply chain, growing critical infrastructure like PyPI and CPython responsibly, fostering the global Python community, and developing the next generation of Python developers). A full draft with detailed objectives will be published in early June, with the board aiming to adopt the plan in July 2026.
