The Python Software Foundation (PSF) has reopened applications for Python Meetup groups to join its Meetup Pro Network, after a temporary suspension tied to the broader PSF Grants Program pause last August. Groups accepted into the network no longer pay Meetup subscription fees, with the PSF covering $15/month per group. Currently 109 groups are part of the network. To qualify, a Meetup group must offer majority Python content, include a Code of Conduct, and hold at least 2 events per year. The rest of the PSF Grants Program remains on hold while the foundation works on budgeting and long-term sustainability planning.
