Python 3.15.0 alpha 4 is now available as the fourth of seven planned alpha releases. Key features include PEP 799 (a new statistical sampling profiler), PEP 686 (UTF-8 as default encoding), PEP 782 (new PyBytesWriter C API), and significant JIT compiler upgrades delivering 3-4% performance improvement on x86-64 Linux and 7-8% speedup on AArch64 macOS. The alpha phase continues until May 2026, with the next alpha release scheduled for February 10, 2026.
