Which is the best IDE for Python developers?

PyCharm vs VS Code -- which is best for Python in 2024?

This is a comparision of 2 different types of apps.
IDE will always give you more than text Editor with Addons and that is exactly why it will start longer, use more ram etc.
If you maintain a project, PyCharm, if you want quickly edit few files, VSCode is good enough.

This is low effort, duplicated 1000 times article that brings nothing new to the table and is wrong on the basis to compare 2 different purpose apps.

As a user of both, I tried many times to just use VS Code but I still go back to PyCharm. It just helps me write better code. Although VS Code feels lighter on my computer and runs faster.

What makes it so important that VSCode is Open Source, except for a couple of ‘key’ elements…? Just asking, because it’s echoed as one of the advantages.

While I do enjoy the features and capabilities of Pycharm, VsCode is light weight and that’s why I use it often but great guide!
