PSA: Your chat and call apps may leak your IP address

Most chat apps default to using peer-to-peer connections, meaning you and the person you’re talking to connect directly to each other. Experts say it’s not clear that users are aware of this potential privacy issue. Other apps work in a similar way, and can also leak IP addresses.
