Confluent has published benchmarking data for Confluent Private Cloud (CPC), showing up to 73% fewer brokers needed compared to standard Apache Kafka deployments using Intelligent Replication. Key findings include 83% tail latency reduction on identical hardware, elimination of the latency cliff at saturation, and greater savings at higher partition densities (14K+ partitions). Two major upcoming features are also previewed: CPC Centralized Policy Enforcement (Early Access at Current London 2026), which enforces encryption, schema validation, and governance policies at the gateway without requiring client code changes; and broker-native multi-tenancy, which introduces logical Kafka clusters (LKCs) on shared physical infrastructure to eliminate cluster sprawl while maintaining tenant isolation, quotas, and self-service onboarding.
