Google Cloud launches a new Professional Security Operations Engineer certification to help organizations train specialists in detecting and responding to emerging threats. The certification validates expertise across Google Cloud security tools including Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, and Security Command Center. It covers six key domains: platform operations, data management, threat hunting, detection engineering, incident response, and observability. The certification requires at least three years of security experience and one year with Google Cloud security tools, with 80% of learners reporting faster career advancement from Google Cloud certifications.
