Facepunch Studios has introduced a new Clutter system for s&box, their upcoming open-source game creation platform built on Source 2. The tool enables procedural placement of objects in scenes, independent of the terrain system, and supports prefabs and instanced models. Users can choose from preset scatterers or create custom ones, configure infinite tiling for camera-relative object spawning, or paint clutter with a brush that reacts to terrain and nearby structures. The update (26.03.04) also includes UI improvements and a new inventory system. s&box is set to release in April.
