Postman has opened its API Catalog to allow developers to manage API specifications, collections, tests, mocks, and environments directly from Git repositories and local filesystems. The key benefit is enabling AI agents to access full API context—including specs, tests, environments, and production behavior—without invoking separate tools, streamlining AI-assisted API development workflows. Postman reports 89% of developers already use AI, and the platform (used by 40M+ developers across 500K organizations) is now exposing its catalog to third-party AI agents at a deeper level.
