Portfolio or no portfolio?

Portfolio all the way. It is a powerful tool for developers - a personal showcase where you can display your best work however you want, prove your skills and creativity, and keep pulling in opportunities even when you’re not actively looking… It’s a bit of work to set up and maintain, but it can open doors and make job hunting much easier.
It’s like wrapping up a business chat by handing out your business card, it builds your brand and trust.

It’s not important but you should be aware , it can actually count against you if it’s a pile of ****** .

A bad portfolio is worse than no portfolio.
Make sure the ux is good and it showcases your story.

In my point of view, Portfolio is good as long as you can show almost your skills when building it. It’s quite useful if you are a Front-end Developer who gains values base on your skills in UI. If you are a Back-end Developer, etc. Those roles are harder to show values using UI Develop skills only (I mean, it also depends on how you make it). So, using a portfolio or not is dependent on the situation.

Depends I think, if you’re front end or backend dev. If you’re frontend, yes why not it could help and you can show your skills. However if you’re backend developer not sure if it’s helpful. My friends got really good offers as backend devs without an online portfolio.
