I’ve changed from npm to pnpm and never looked back (I’ve never got interested in trying yarn)

The article is misleading and it makes the switch sound simpler than it is for existing projects. NPM and PNPM use two different lock files: package-lock.json and pnpm-lock.yaml. If you move to PNPM from NPM the package-lock.json won’t be updated anymore. This can be problematic when working on a team and I believe switching to PNPM won’t be possible unless the whole team switches at the same time.
